Brian Evans (screenwriting pseudonym for Brian Puterman) is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston with a Bachelors Degree in Composition and a minor in Film Music Composition.  He also graduated with honors, attaining a Masters in Cinema Studies from Graham College in Boston.  After several years of working in advertising as a freelance copywriter, Brian spent time working in film production as to better understand the process of filmmaking.  He’s worked as everything from a production coordinator on national commercials to an associate producer on several independant films.

Brian Evans is currently a contributor to numerous international film magazines including Film Comment and European Cinema Quarterly.  Brian has done freelance copywriting for clients that include Toyota, Cannon, Microsoft and Amazon.com.  He’s also worked as a web content provider.

Brian has also taught Screenwriting at The University Of Washington in Seattle.  Currently he has a feature in development at August Entertainment titled “Dancing In Blood."  Cuba Gooding, Jr. is slated to star.  Brian also has had a children's educational program titled "Animal Haven" produced that is being shopped around to network television by Bogorad Wyler.  He’s optioned several other works including “Disturbance In The Field” to Barry Shills of HBO Pictures and “DreamCatcher” to Dance De Vida Productions.  Last year Brian was hired by Ken Marino, a producer with a first look deal at New Line Cinema to adapt Luke Rhinehart’s novel “The Search For The Diceman”.  Recently Brian was hired by RMM Filmwoks in New York, a division of Universal Pictures to write a bio picture titled "Maquina."  ICM is in the process of packaging this feature.

Besides his feature work, Brian is an accomplished playwright who has won numerous awards for his short fiction.
