The Image of God AKA G-d!

“There is no male nor female, no Greek nor Jew...”

El Shaddai means, “They that suckle at His breasts”

We try to put God in a box.

We males and females.

God has both masculine and feminine qualities.

But God is all that and more than we dare not imagine.

Men may say God is a man,

Women may say God is a woman.

We are made in the image of God

Perhaps we are seeing a reflection of God

As we are looking into a mirror of our lives.

God is both masculine and feminine.

God is a being. God is a Spirit, God is all Creation both seen and not.

Perhaps one too big and too wonderful and too awesome for us to understand.

So we bring our life experiences into the picture.

God, please don't let us limit you to our finite image.

Let US see You as You and not as we want to see you.

As the butterfly flies;

We cannot direct its paths.

We can try, and may succeed a little, But we miss the beauty of the butterfly's flight if we try to direct it...
